Job summary

Duratec invites experienced professionals to join its New South Wales division, based in Newington with adhoc travel. You will support a busy commercial team across multiple projects, managing contracts, claims, procurement and subcontractor oversight.

The role requires strong contract knowledge, project administration discipline and a proactive, collaborative approach to drive commercial outcomes and safe, compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

• Understanding risks and opportunities in contractual agreements.
• Sound knowledge of project administration and project control.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure compliance with client contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project start-up, procurement, delivery and close-out.
• Liaise with internal Duratec team and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to clients.
• Manage subcontractors from onboarding to claim assessments.
• Monitor commissioning activities and relevant documentation.
• Ensure adherence to procedures, policies and contractual obligations.
• Maintain registers tracking the project commercial position.
• Contribute to the project commercial strategy and drive outcomes.

Job description

• Newington based position with adhoc travel
• Project values up to $50 mil
• Multi-state presence, market leading contractor

Working with our growing New South Wales division you will be working within our collaborative commercial team, supporting the success of numerous projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and ensure compliance with client contract throughout the project/s
• Oversee project start up, procurement, delivery and project close out
• Liaise with internal Duratec team and external stakeholders
• Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to the client
• Manage subcontractors from onboarding to claim assessments
• Monitor commissioning activities including documentation
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure adherence to procedures, policies, and contractual obligations
• Maintain relevant registers that track and substantiate the projects commercial position
• Contribute to the project commercial strategy and drive commercial outcomes

ABOUT YOU

• An understanding of the risks and opportunities associated with all project contractual agreements
• Sound working knowledge of project administration and project control
• Analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Construction Management, Project Management)
• Positive negotiation, conflict and influencing skills
• Written and oral communication skills with an ability to present information to a range of audiences
• Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, intermediate to advanced Excel skills
