Job summary

We seek a Contracts Administrator/Quantity Surveyor to support our Canberra-based engagements, ensuring financial controls and compliant tender processes across diverse teams. This role offers exposure to high-profile programs and collaborative client work.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in building/construction management or related field.
• Experience as Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor on large-scale projects.
• Understanding of head contracts and commercial/legal issues.
• Knowledge of tendering and subcontractor procurement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost forecasts and monitor financial status of projects.
• Prepare cash flow statements for executives.
• Ensure site staff understand scope and tender inclusions.
• Prepare tender documentation for subcontractor procurement.
• Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
• Liaise on progress claims with Head Contract.

Prepare cost forecasts,monitorfinancial status, and prepare cash flow statements

Provide input for financial reports to Executive Management Team

Ensure site supervisory staff are aware of the project’s scope of works and inclusions in tender packages

Preparation of tender documentationrequiredfor the procurement of sub-contractors including tender and pricing schedules, scope of works, comparative tenderanalysisand recommendations.

Foster andmaintainstrong relationships with clients, sub-contractors,suppliersand consultants

Liaise with clientregardingprogress claims to Head Contract

Qualifications

• Relent tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar
• Solid experience working on as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor on large scale building projects
• Understanding of commercial and legal issuespertaining tohead contracts
• A working knowledge of major building trades
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Experience in quantity surveying/estimating
• Strong experience in tender processes and trade procurement
• Preparation of Head Contract variations
• Assessing subcontractor variations
