Job summary

Pymble Ladies’ College is inviting applications for a 12-month Content Editor to write, edit and proofread College documents, publications, websites and communications. This role supports branding, quality and brand guidelines across diverse channels.

The successful candidate will bring journalism or communications credentials and demonstrated editing and proofreading excellence, with strong collaboration skills and a willingness to promote the College ethos.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Journalism, Communications or English.
  • Proven ability in writing, editing and proofreading for publications.
  • Experience in media or brand/marketing communications is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the school environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Current driver’s licence is required.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit and proofread College documents, publications, websites and communications to reflect the College brand.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and quality standards.

The role

We are seeking an experienced Content Editor with a passion for storytelling, a sharp eye for grammar and accuracy, and a proven ability to turn words into engaging experiences that connect communities. This is a 12-month contract role providing support with writing, editing and proofreading College documents, publications, websites and communications, ensuring all content reflects the unique educational offering, premium quality and brand guidelines of Pymble Ladies’ College.

You Will Demonstrate The Following Attributes And Capabilities
  • Willingness to support and promote the ethos and values of the College.
  • Degree in Journalism, Communications or English.
  • Demonstrated experience of excellent writing, editing and proofing skills, ideally within the context of media or brand/marketing communications.
  • Working knowledge of the school environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer relations skills along with the ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels and across all areas of the school.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgement, professional conduct and discretion at all times.
  • Current car driver’s licence.
