Job summary

The Marshmallow Co. invites a creative Video Content Creator to join our Wyong factory team on site. You will craft engaging content across TikTok, YouTube, and Reels to showcase our handmade marshmallows and brand personality.

Working with our Co-Founder and the content crew, you will video, edit, and publish short and long-form videos, stay on trend, and help grow our social audience and eCommerce presence.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of video content creation experience for TikTok/YouTube
• Proficiency in video editing software
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and algorithms
• Excellent storytelling and visual communication skills

About the role

Our Content Team is growing and we are seeking a talented and passionate content creator to join our team and help us reach new customers and build brand awareness across our social media channels, primarily TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. You will be responsible for developing engaging and creative content that showcases our products and resonates with our audience. Working directly with our Co-Founder and our talented content team, this is the perfect opportunity to learn on-the-job and help shape our social strategy and personality! This role is based in Wyong on the Central Coast of NSW and working on site is essential.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop, write, and produce highly engaging short-form and long-form video content for TikTok, YouTube, and Reels, including but not limited to product demonstrations, challenges, and behind-the-scenes insights


• Film, edit, and schedule content across the various platforms


• Build upon the existing community with our audience through creative and compelling storytelling, call-to-actions, and engaging visuals


• Work alongside internal teams to host live streams and film content for videos, stories, etc


• Monitor and analyse social media performance metrics to make data-driven decisions to improve our content strategy and develop new ways of growing and reaching new customers


• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, challenges, and viral content, using this knowledge to inform content strategies


• Work with other creators on collabs and partnerships


• Manage social media accounts and interactions

About you

You are an experienced content creator/video editor with an understanding of marketing strategies and are passionate about what we’re doing. You have:

• 1+ years experience in video content creation for TikTok or YouTube


• Proficiency in video editing software


• Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices


• Exceptional creativity, storytelling, and visual communication skills


• Understanding of videography/photography/lighting


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and multitask


• Strong attention to detail


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


• Proven track record of creating engaging video content on TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts.


• Passionate about TikTok and YouTube, you love to have fun and stay on top of trends


• You’re comfortable both behind and in front of the camera


• Experience in eCommerce is a bonus
