Job summary

The Socialette is a boutique social media agency in Sydney. We are seeking a creative, passionate content creator to work with us on a freelance contractor basis. We offer on-location shoots across Sydney, and you choose the assignments you take on.

Shoots include short-form video and photos at client venues, creating Reels and TikToks, and on-time editing to deliver polished content. You bring your own gear and drive autonomy in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of content creation experience.
• Own equipment and an eye for aesthetics across niches from food to lifestyle and interiors.
• Love for Instagram and TikTok with knowledge of trends.

Responsibilities

• Shoot short-form video and photos on-location at client venues in Sydney.
• Create Reels and TikToks in each client's style per shoot brief.
• Edit footage into polished content and deliver files on time.
• Manage shoots and deliverables within agreed turnaround times.

The Socialette is a boutique social media agency in Sydney. For nearly a decade we have helped ambitious brands grow through organic content that actually works. We are small, founder-led and selective about who we work with.

The opportunity

We are looking for a creative, passionate content creator to work with us on a freelance contractor basis. We offer on-location shoots for our boutique clients across Sydney, and you choose the ones you take on.

What the work involves

Shooting short-form video and photos on location at client venues across Sydney

Creating Reels and TikToks to an agreed shoot brief, in each client's style

Occasional Saturday shoots, usually just a few hours

Editing your footage into polished, on-trend content when it is part of the brief

Delivering your content files within the agreed turnaround

What you will bring

Shoots are at client locations around Sydney, so you will need to be based in Sydney, hold a valid driver's licence and be willing to travel to shoots.

Your own iPhone 15 Pro, 16 Pro or 17 Pro and microphones

One year or more of content creation experience, preferred

An eye for detail, aesthetics and different niches, from food to lifestyle and interiors

A love of Instagram and TikTok, keeping up with the latest trends and knowing how to create engaging content

An ABN, and public liability insurance or a willingness to arrange it once you are engaged

How the engagement works

You work as an independent contractor under a written agreement, invoicing us fortnightly

Shoots are offered as they come up, and you can accept or decline each one

You bring your own equipment and creative approach to meet each brief

You are free to work with other businesses and agencies alongside your work with us
