Job summary

TITAN Containers is seeking a Depot Operations Coordinator in Melbourne. The role combines hands-on forklift operations, container handling, inspections, repairs and project work with customer interaction and contractor coordination.

The ideal candidate is practical, reliable and safety‑minded, with forklift / container experience and WHS knowledge. Travel to customer sites and interstate projects may be required.

Qualifications

• A current High Risk Work Licence – LF forklift with container handling experience.
• Basic WHS understanding and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Forklift movements including container stacking and loading/unloading onto trucks.
• Inspecting containers for damage and estimating repairs.
• Carrying out repairs, painting and general fabrication work.
• Inspecting and maintaining depot equipment for safety and use.
• Managing container stock and maintaining accurate records.
• Coordinating third-party transport and contractors at depots and sites.
• Supporting container inspections and ArcticStore installations.
• Travel to customer sites and interstate projects as required.
• Provide practical onsite support and promote safety and quality.

TITAN Containers is looking for a Depot Operations Coordinator to join our Melbourne team.

This is a hands-on role with a consistent core of depot operations, container handling, inspections and repairs, alongside customer interaction, contractor coordination and project work. While the core responsibilities remain consistent, there is plenty of variety through the customers, equipment, repairs and projects you'll be involved with.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for helping keep our Melbourne depot running safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Forklift movements including container stacking and loading / unloading onto trucks.

Inspecting containers and identifying damage, estimate for repairs.

Carrying out container repairs, painting and general fabrication work.

Inspecting and maintaining depot equipment and ensuring it is safe and fit for use.

Maintaining cleanliness of containers through company cleaning standards

Managing container stock and ensuring accurate records are maintained.

Coordinating third-party transport companies and contractors at the depot and customer sites.

Supporting refrigerated container inspections, servicing and documentation.

Assisting with ArcticStore installations and other projects, including travel to customer sites and occasional interstate travel.

Providing practical onsite support where required.

Supporting WHS activities including site inspections, risk assessments, hazard reporting and incident management.

Working closely with the wider TITAN team to keep the Melbourne operation running safely and efficiently.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and operationally minded.

You'll ideally have:

Experience in relevant hands‑on container industries.

Experience carrying out repairs, general workshop tasks.

A current High Risk Work Licence – LF Forklift preferably with container handling experience.

Strong practical and mechanical aptitude.

Experience using workshop tools and equipment safely.

A basic understanding of WHS and safe working practices.

Good communication skills and a customer‑focused approach.

The ability to work independently, organise your workload and use initiative.

Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes.

A White Card would be advantageous.

You'll also need to be comfortable occasionally travelling around Melbourne and surrounding areas, with occasional travel to other locations for customer projects and ArcticStore installations.
