Job summary

Department of Health in Darwin is recruiting for a Psychiatry Consultant to join the Top End Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service. You will provide clinical services at the Consultant level and participate in the Northern Territory Medical Program.

You will contribute to medical student teaching and the Postgraduate Psychiatry Training Program of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry. Selection may be at SC or SSC level depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services in psychiatry at Consultant level for the Top End Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service.
• Participate in the Northern Territory Medical Program, including teaching psychiatry to medical students and involvement in the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry Postgraduate Training Program.
