Job summary

Latrobe Regional Health is seeking a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join our Medical Services team. This role offers either full-time (1.0 EFT) or part-time fixed-term employment to deliver specialist obstetric and gynaecological care across inpatient and outpatient settings, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to regional health initiatives.

You will lead care pathways, support clinical governance and participate in ongoing service improvement to enhance outcomes for women

Qualifications

• Extensive clinical expertise in obstetrics and gynaecology with a focus on safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
• Ability to lead, mentor and supervise junior medical staff and students; foster teamwork.
• Commitment to quality governance, evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Lead treatment plans, guidelines and care pathways for best practice and continuity of care.
• Supervise and support junior medical staff and students to build workforce capability.
• Participate in service planning, quality improvement, policies and protocols for women's and children's services.
• Promote collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and community providers; manage on-call rosters.
