Job summary

West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking a suitably experienced Obstetrics & Gynecology Consultant to join Warragul, about 1.5 hours east of Melbourne. The role involves on-site and after-hours obstetric and gynaecology care across inpatient and outpatient settings, with a strong focus on teaching and supervising junior medical staff.

You will participate in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives, assisting GPs and obstetricians, in a supportive regional team

Qualifications

• Fellowship of RANZCOG is required.
• AHPRA Specialist Registration is required.
• Experience in antenatal, perinatal and postnatal care including ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and after-hours obstetric and gynaecology services.
• Supervise junior medical staff (HMOs and registrars).
• Contribute to clinical governance through audits and quality improvement.
• Teach and support medical students at Monash Gippsland Regional Clinical School.
