Job summary

Superior Quarry Testing Pty Ltd in Toowoomba, Queensland, is seeking an entry level Constructions Materials Testing Technician to join our small, family-run lab.

You will assist our team across concrete, soils and aggregates, performing field and laboratory testing, learning standards and procedures, with early starts and Monday–Friday availability. A current driver’s license and a white card are required.

Superior Quarry Testing is a family owned and run independent construction materials testing facility operating in South-East Queensland.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently looking for people to assist our specialised team of technicians working across concrete, soils and aggregates. This is a casual entry level position, and you must have full availability across Monday - Friday and hold a current driver's license. You will be required to complete field and/or laboratory testing within timeframes and in accordance with standards and regulations. This role will encompass all aspects of laboratory work learning from the ground up.

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:

Available Monday to Friday (with early starts)

Able to work weekends and regular overtime if required;

MUST be reliable, punctual and honest;

Is physically fit and able to perform a manual labour-intensive role which includes heavy lifting;

Good Mathematics, Handwriting and English (both written & verbal);

You MUST be able to follow stringent policies and procedures with good attention to detail;

Able to work efficiently and effectively within a team and individually;

Be enthusiastic and motivated to work;

MUST be well presented with a professional outlook and work ethic;

Be able to obtain a construction industry white card;

The ability to pass a medical and/or drug screen if required;

A current driver's license with a clean driving record (or working towards one).
