Job summary

AGL Energy in Bayswater, NSW, invites an experienced Construction Surveillance Coordinator to join the Energy Assets team on a 24-month fixed term contract. Based on site at Bayswater Power Station, Muswellbrook, you will coordinate interfaces between AGL and external project stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient construction delivery with minimal impact on operations.

You will oversee Hunter Transmission Project activities, support planning, risk review, and reporting, while promoting safety

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification or trade qualification with team leadership experience in a relevant industry.
• Extensive experience coordinating complex projects or operational works in large industrial environments.
• Experience in power generation, transmission, construction, mining or heavy industry sectors.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and facilitation skills.
• Strong understanding of construction coordination, planning and work management processes.
• Ability to identify risks and implement practical mitigation strategies.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation and industry standards is advantageous.
• Understanding asset management and live operating environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee Hunter Transmission Project activities alongside Bayswater Power Station operations.
• Act as a primary contact for construction interfaces with external project contractors.
• Facilitate coordination between external contractors and AGL operations teams.
• Support site access planning, construction planning and stakeholder communications.
• Review construction activities for potential operational impacts, risks and conflicts.
• Assist with schedule coordination, permit creation and work management processes.
• Coordinate information requests and assist with scopes of work under project agreements.
• Monitor nearby operations for defects or emerging risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to project reporting and administration.
• Promote safety, compliance and collaboration across all work activities.
