Job summary

Advanced Buildings in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee small to medium domestic and commercial repairs, coordinating trades and ensuring project milestones are met.

You will manage client relationships, maintain budgets, and uphold WHS standards while developing business through quality service delivery.

The role requires knowledge of Australian Building codes and insurance repair processes, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Solid supervision experience in small to medium domestic and commercial repairs.
• Proven skills in construction estimating for building repairs.
• Experience working with clients, consultants, trades and suppliers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting priorities.
• Interpersonal skills to build long-term customer relationships.
• Experience in the insurance repair industry is beneficial.
• Understanding of building codes and Australian standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and drive multiple small to medium domestic and commercial construction repairs.
• Ensure trades/suppliers adhere to work orders, SOWs and quote requests.
• Ensure project construction schedules are met.
• Ensure budgets are met to ensure profitability on jobs.
• Identify new trades and suppliers via company procurement process.
• Drive, manage and adhere to company safety processes on all jobs.
• Forecast completion dates and align with revenue targets.
• Provide accurate progress updates for internal and external use.
• Have a detailed understanding of the construction process, inspection points, permit requirements and WHS requirements.

Job description

Plan,schedule and drive multiple small to medium domestic and commercial construction repairs

Ensure trades/suppliers adhere to work orders, SOW'sand quote requests

Ensure the project construction schedules are met

Ensure budgets are met to ensure profitability on jobs

Identify new trades and suppliers as required via company procurement process

Drive, manage and adhere company safety processes on all jobs

Accurately forecast and achieve monthly latest forecasted completion dates, to ensure revenue targets are met

Have a detailed understanding and experience in the construction process, critical inspection points, permit requirements and WHS requirements

Provide accurate progress updates for internal and external use

Required

Solid construction supervision experience in small to medium, domestic and commercial construction repairs

Proven skills in construction estimating for building repairs to both domestic and commercial properties

Experience working directly with clients, building consultants, and all construction related trades and suppliers

Ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously with conflicting priorities.

Interpersonal skills to with an ability to deal with both internal and external customers building long term relationships.

Able to develop business through quality service delivery.

Experience in the insurance repair industry is beneficial

Thorough understanding the construction process, critical inspection points, permit and WHS requirements

Understanding of relevant Building codes and Australian standards.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Trade qualifications in Carpentry will be considered desirable but not essential.
