About the role

Selecta Homes is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join our growing team in Burton SA 5110. This is a full-time position that offers a strategic opportunity to oversee and manage construction projects from commencement through to completion. As Construction Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in maintaining Selecta Homes' reputation for excellence in the construction industry.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities and manage all on-site operations to ensure projects progress smoothly and efficiently
• Supervise and coordinate tradespeople and construction workers, providing clear direction and support to maintain productivity and safety standards
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality, compliance with specifications, and adherence to building codes and regulations
• Manage project schedules and timelines, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track
• Maintain accurate site documentation including daily logs, progress reports, and safety records
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any concerns
• Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations and implement safe working practices across all sites
• Monitor and manage project budgets and material usage to minimise waste and control costs
• Identify training needs and mentor junior staff members to support their professional development

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or similar supervisory role within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and building codes applicable to residential and commercial projects
• Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret building plans, specifications, and technical drawings
• Strong organisational and time management capabilities with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to different construction sites as required
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Relevant qualifications such as a Construction Supervision Certificate or equivalent tertiary qualification are highly desirable
• Knowledge of health and safety management systems and incident reporting procedures
