Job summary

Equans Solar and Storage, a Bouygues Group subsidiary, seeks an Australian-qualified Construction Lawyer for our Sydney team. You will advise on procurement, contracts, and risk across major construction and energy projects.

Reporting to Senior Legal Counsel, the role focuses on contract review, negotiation, claims management, and collaboration with commercial and project teams to support delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and admitted to practice in Australia.
• 3-5 years of post-admission experience (PAE) within construction, infrastructure, engineering or energy projects.
• Strong expertise in drafting, reviewing, negotiating construction and commercial contracts.
• Sound knowledge of Australian construction and commercial law.
• Excellent drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate EPC, consultancy, subcontracts, supply agreements, NDAs and O&M agreements.
• Provide practical legal advice during project execution and manage contractual risk.
• Support project teams with variations, extension of time claims, defect management, security and payment issues.
• Assist in governance, templates, policies and compliance matters.
