Job summary

Chisholm Institute is seeking an experienced Technical Support Officer for our Building & Construction team to ensure the smooth delivery of programs with well‑stocked resources and efficient workshop setup across multiple campuses in Melbourne's southeast. You will liaise with suppliers, manage stock, and provide practical technical support to staff and students.

Qualifications

• Experience using and servicing building & construction tools and equipment such as static machinery, hand and power tools.
• Strong organizational and supplier liaison skills.
• Able to work in a workshop environment and handle stock control.

Responsibilities

• Ensure allocation of Building & Construction materials and resources to support program delivery.
• Liaise with suppliers to determine best and most economical products.
• Assist with ordering of supplies using Finance One and maintain stock control.
• Organise repair of equipment and maintain compliance records.
• Provide assistance in setup for Workshop activities and display spaces.
• Provide technical support for Building & Construction activities, events and exhibitions.
• Support operations of programs including Fee for Service and short courses.
• Network with internal/external staff, suppliers and agents to ensure smooth program delivery.
