Job summary

Morgan Consulting partners with an established construction organisation to recruit a hands-on HR Advisor for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will provide practical, commercially focused HR support across the employee lifecycle for both Australian and offshore operations.

Working with leaders and teams, you will handle day-to-day employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, HR documentation, and policy guidance, using Employment Hero where possible.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor or broad generalist HR role.
• Experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure or another operationally focused industry.
• Experience using Employment Hero, across HR administration, employee records and onboarding.
• Experience supporting geographically dispersed teams, ideally including offshore employees.
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, employee relations and Fair Work requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to advise managers at all levels.
• A practical, adaptable and commercially minded approach to HR.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees across onshore and offshore teams.
• Manage employee relations matters, including performance management, grievances and disciplinary processes.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, offboarding and broader employee lifecycle activities.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation, ideally utilising Employment Hero.
• Advise managers on HR policies, employment legislation and workplace best practices.
• Support workforce planning, employee engagement and retention initiatives.
• Assist with the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures and systems.
• Build strong relationships with operational stakeholders and provide practical solutions to people-related challenges.
