Job summary

Buildingwise Construction Pty is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive tenders for residential and commercial projects in the Georgetown NSW region. You will work with the project management team, subcontractors and suppliers to price projects and support successful delivery.

Buildingwise Construction is a family-owned and operated business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential and commercial construction projects across the region. With a growing pipeline of new-build projects, we are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our established and growing team.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive tenders across a range of residential and commercial projects. Working closely with our project management team, subcontractors and suppliers, you will play a key role in pricing projects, managing tender submissions and supporting successful project delivery.

A company car and mobile phone will be provided as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

Review construction drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions.

Request, review and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.

Prepare trade scopes, identify exclusions and ensure all project requirements are captured.

Identify potential cost risks, opportunities and value-management options.

Assist with procurement and subcontractor selection.

Prepare variation pricing and assist with monitoring project costs against budgets.

Maintain accurate estimating records and support project handovers.

About You

Experience in construction estimating across residential and commercial projects.

A relevant qualification in Construction Project Management, Building & Construction or currently working towards one.

Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and scopes of work.

Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier pricing.

Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.

A proactive, practical approach with strong attention to detail.
