Yarra City Council is seeking a Temporary Band 5 Construction Enforcement Permits Officer to join the Compliance & Parking Services Branch in the municipality. The role focuses on patrols, inspections, and enforcement of local laws and permits to protect the community.
You will conduct proactive site inspections, investigate enforcement matters, and work with stakeholders, upholding public safety and council values.
NOTE:The core days are Monday to Friday.This position requires the incumbent to perform weekend work on a rotating roster. Penalty rates apply. Other out of hours work opportunities may be available.
The Construction Enforcement Permits Officer position sits within the Compliance & Parking Services Branch which provides a high level of customer service within the municipality, balancing community needs and safety as a priority. The role specifically sits within the Construction Enforcement unit which deals with the building and development industry within the municipality.
You will also be required to build and maintain a professional working relationship with all stakeholders and exhibit, respect, teamwork and innovation to improve productivity and efficiency whilst performing your key duties.
