Job summary

ASCOT GROUP is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end construction projects in Australia. This role focuses on governance, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating site teams and subcontractors for complex data centre builds.

You will work with Electrical Leads and a multidisciplinary team, delivering on time, within budget, and with high safety standards across major projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, engineering, architecture, or related field from an accredited university.
• Three years’ experience as a construction manager or in a similar position in construction management.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Able to manage team of employees and multiple projects.
• Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Accurate and precise attention to detail.
• Goal-oriented and organized leadership.
• Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
• In-depth understanding of the construction industry.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
• Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project and experience with Project Management software preferred.
• Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations.
• Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead project governance, planning, reporting, scheduling, and delivery coordination across major data centre construction projects.
• Partner with Electrical / Technical Leads to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage risks, dependencies, compliance requirements, and delivery reporting.
• Drive programme discipline and structured project management methodologies across project teams.
• Coordinate with builders, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders across multiple workstreams.
• Support the uplift of project delivery capability, processes, and reporting standards across the organisation.
• Navigate a hands-on construction culture and build trusted relationships with site-based teams.
• Ensure compliance with both internal delivery standards and builder-mandated processes and systems.
