Job summary

Port Stephens Council is seeking a Natural Areas Project Planner to lead the delivery of the 3-year Special Rate Variation program focused on conserving Port Stephens’ natural areas. You will plan, manage projects, coordinate contractors, and report progress from the PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace.

The role requires a degree in Conservation Land Management or related field, GIS and MS Office proficiency, and a collaborative, results-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Degree in Conservation Land Management or related field
• Experience planning and delivering natural resource management projects
• Strong contractor management and budgeting skills
• Proficiency with GIS mapping systems and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of the SRV 3-year program for natural areas
• Coordinate contractors and manage budgets and procurement
• Plan on-ground environmental works including bush regeneration and habitat restoration
• Monitor, report and communicate performance to stakeholders
• Develop site action plans and ensure regulatory compliance
