Job summary

Endeavour Group is seeking a Configuration Management Lead to own CMDB governance, accuracy, and data integrity within the ServiceNow platform, driving ITSM, ITOM, and Event Management maturity across a large enterprise.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Service Management, you will lead CMDB governance, ServiceNow mastery, discovery and mapping, and integrate observability tools like Dynatrace to enable reliable decisions and streamlined incident resolution. Hybrid work in Sydney or Melbourne.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on experience administering or managing ServiceNow (ITSM/ITOM/CMDB/CSDM).
• Strong background in ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, MID server setup, and API integrations.
• ITIL certifications alongside ServiceNow credentials highly regarded.
• Ability to establish reconciliation controls, health dashboards, and manage enhancement backlogs.
• Excellent communication and relationship management across complex enterprise environments.

• CMDB governance leadership: establish and maintain robust configuration management frameworks and CMDB data accuracy.
• ServiceNow platform mastery: oversee ITSM/ITOM modules, manage service catalogs, workflows and platform enhancements.
• Discovery and mapping: oversee ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, credential management, and MID server administration.
• Observability integration: configure integrations between ServiceNow and external monitoring tools (Dynatrace).
• Cross‑functional collaboration: partner with enterprise architecture, cyber security and service delivery teams to drive CMDB adoption and data health.

Configuration Management Lead

As the Configuration Management Lead, you will take full ownership of the governance, accuracy, and integrity of our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and supporting processes within the ServiceNow platform. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Service Management, you will act as the technical subject matter expert driving the maturity of our ITSM, ITOM and Event Management capabilities, including Discovery and Service Mapping. This vital role bridges technology and business outcomes by ensuring configuration data is reliable, integrated with observability tools like Dynatrace, and optimised to enable seamless decision-making, incident resolution, and automation across our enterprise environment.

• CMDB Governance Leadership: Establish and maintain robust configuration management frameworks, ensuring CMDB data accuracy, CI relationship mapping, and alignment with CSDM and ITIL standards.
• ServiceNow Platform Mastery: Serve as the subject matter expert across ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM modules, managing Service Catalog items, workflows, and platform enhancements.
• Discovery Service Mapping: Oversee ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, credential management, and MID server administration to build a truly service‑aware CMDB.
• Observability Event Integration: Configure seamless integrations between ServiceNow and external monitoring tools like Dynatrace, establishing automated event management and incident workflows.
• Cross‑Functional Team Collaboration: Partner with enterprise architecture, cyber security, and service delivery teams to drive CMDB adoption, data health reporting, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Extensive Platform Experience: 8+ years of hands‑on experience administering or managing ServiceNow, with a core focus on ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and CSDM structures.
• Technical Integration Expertise: Strong background in ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, MID server setup, and API‑based integrations (REST/SOAP, JavaScript).
• Certified Industry Qualifications: Relevant ITIL (v3 or ITIL4) certifications alongside formal ServiceNow credentials (e.g., CIS‑ITSM, CIS‑Discovery, or ITOM Implementation Specialist) highly regarded.
• Data Governance Capability: Proven ability to establish reconciliation controls, build health dashboards, and manage enhancement backlogs effectively.
• Stakeholder Engagement Focus: Excellent communication and relationship management skills with a proven track record of collaborating across complex enterprise environments.
