IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Conference and Events Executive for a 12-month contract at Crowne Plaza Melbourne Carlton. You will manage the full lifecycle from inquiry through to execution, building market presence and delivering memorable events.

You will work closely with clients and hotel teams, drive sales strategies, and secure new business while ensuring exceptional service and great guest experiences.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in conferencing and events within a hotel or similar environment.
• Proactive sales experience to grow hotel awareness and secure opportunities.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to handle multiple projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality events.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Aufgaben

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with corporate clients, associations, and event planners.
• Build long-term client relationships to generate repeat business and referrals.
• Monitor market demand and competitor activity to develop promotions and optimise revenue.
• Ensure accurate billing and post-event communication with clients.
• Collaborate with the hotel commercial team to promote conferencing facilities and maximize occupancy.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to secure best value.
