Job summary

SRG Global is seeking a skilled Condition Monitoring Technician to join our Gladstone team on a 9 day fortnight. You will support reliability and maintenance by implementing condition-based monitoring programs across critical plant and equipment, helping detect signs of degradation and reduce downtime.

The role requires vibration analysis, thermography, oil sampling, sensor installation and field balancing of rotating machinery, with reporting to maintenance and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in performing vibration analysis and thermography to monitor equipment health.
• Experience with oil sampling and data collection across rotating assets.
• Ability to install sensors, perform in-situ balancing and align rotating machinery.
• Compute and interpret machine condition trends to identify early failure indicators.

Responsibilities

SRG Global Asset Care (part of the SRG Global group) is seeking a skilled Condition Monitoring Technician to join our team in Gladstone, working a 9 day fortnight.

You will support our reliability and maintenance teams by implementing and maintaining condition-based monitoring programs across critical plant and equipment. You will assist in detecting early signs of mechanical degradation, reduce unplanned downtime and improve overall asset performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine condition monitoring tasks including vibration analysis, thermography, oil sampling and data collection
• Carrying out sensor installation, in-situ field balancing and alignment of rotating machinery
• Analyse machine condition data and identify trends and early indications of failure
• Prepare detailed reports and provide recommendations to maintenance and engineering teams

The successful applicant will ideally have

• VCAT II Vibration Analysis Training and Certification
• Experience in the Oil and Gas sector is highly regarded (White Hat)
• 2+ years analysis experience (MHM knowledge advantageous)
• Lubrication 1 certification
• Thermography training and qualification highly regarded
• Hands-on mechanical experience and knowledge with oil/grease sampling
• Strong communication and people skills
• Safe work practices and commitment to workplace health and safety
