Cooper McCullough Group is seeking experienced Civil Concreters, Formworkers and Steel Fixers to join our team across Central Queensland. The role involves a mix of concreting, formwork, steel fixing and general civil construction tasks on TMR, Council and mining projects.

Candidates must be willing to travel and work in diverse, sometimes mining-related environments. We value hands-on capability across multiple trades and a proactive approach to safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil concreting, formwork and/or steel fixing.
• Strong hands-on civil construction experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel across Central Queensland and to work in mine environments.

• Civil concreting, pouring, screeding and finishing.
• Formwork, boxing and stripping.
• Steel fixing and reinforcement.
• Kerb and channel works.
• Culverts, headwalls and drainage structures.
• Concrete pits, slabs and surrounds.

• Working with plant operators and civil crews.
• Working in active coal mine environments when required.

Concreter / Formworker / Steel Fixer – All-Rounder

Cooper McCullough Group (CMG) is seeking experienced Civil Concreters / Formworkers / Steel Fixers to join our team working across Central Queensland.

We are looking for capable civil all-rounders who can turn their hand to a range of concreting, formwork, steel fixing and general civil construction activities.

Our crews work across Central Queensland on TMR and Council road projects, civil infrastructure works and projects in and out of Bowen Basin coal mines, so applicants must be willing to travel and work across a variety of project environments.

About the Role

Depending on the project, your duties may include:

• Civil concreting, pouring, screeding and finishing
• Formwork, boxing and stripping
• Steel fixing and reinforcement
• Kerb and channel works
• Culverts, headwalls and drainage structures
• Concrete pits, slabs and surrounds
• Footpaths and miscellaneous concrete works
• Reading plans and working to levels
• Assisting with road rehabilitation and upgrade works
• General civil construction and labouring duties
• Working alongside plant operators and civil crews
• Working within active coal mine environments when required

We are particularly interested in all-rounders who are happy to get in and help wherever required, rather than being limited to one specific trade or task.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in civil concreting, formwork and/or steel fixing
• Strong hands-on civil construction experience
• Experience across multiple areas of concreting and civil works highly regarded
• TMR, Council, road construction or mining experience advantageous
• Construction White Card
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Ability to work safely and as part of a crew
• Willingness to travel and work across Central Queensland
• Relevant plant tickets highly regarded
• Coal Board Medical – highly regarded
• Standard 11 – highly regarded
• Previous Bowen Basin coal mine experience advantageous
