Job summary

Mahaffey Associates Pty Ltd in Smithfield NSW is seeking a concrete tester/technician for our laboratory team. The role covers preparing concrete mixes, performing test procedures on concrete, masonry and related construction materials, and supporting the setup of specialised testing equipment.

The position is full-time, five days a week with occasional night and weekend work and regular overtime. Some experience is preferred, but training is provided to applicants from other trades or labouring

Qualifications

• Some experience preferred, but training is available for applicants from other trades.
• Experience working with tools is required.
• Forklift license and construction-industry safety induction are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare concrete mixes and samples for testing.
• Conduct laboratory testing of concrete, masonry and construction materials.

Work includes making concrete mixes, preparing samples, cutting and grinding concrete, undertaking testing for strength and other physical properties and assisting in setting up specialised testing.

Full time position, 5 days per week with occasional night and weekend work. Regular overtime.

Some experience preferred, but training is available to applicants with a background in other trade or labouring work. Experience working with tools is required.
