Job summary

Arete Concrete is seeking experienced Concrete Pump Operators to join our Brisbane-based team. This full-time, on-site role supports multiple construction locations in the Brisbane and Gold Coast area, delivering concrete with precision and safety.

You will operate and maintain pump equipment, set up and secure pumps, monitor flow rates, and coordinate with concreters and site supervisors to meet project timelines. Candidates must have HR/HC license and proven pump operation experience.

• Proven experience as a Concrete Pump Operator on commercial or residential construction projects.
• Solid understanding of concrete properties, slump testing and delivery specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate concrete pump equipment safely and efficiently to deliver concrete to specified locations on construction sites.

Arete concrete is seeking experienced Concrete Pump Operators to join our growing team across Brisbane, Queensland. This is a full-time position based on-site at various construction locations throughout the Brisbane and Gold coast area. As a Concrete Pump Operator, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of concrete to construction sites, ensuring precision, safety and efficiency in all operations. This position is essential to maintaining project timelines and quality standards across our diverse portfolio of construction projects.

What you'll be doing

Operating concrete pump equipment safely and efficiently to deliver concrete to specified locations on construction sites

Setting up, positioning and securing concrete pump machinery in accordance with safety protocols and site requirements

Monitoring concrete flow rates and adjusting pump settings to ensure optimal delivery and consistency

Communicating effectively with site teams, including concreters, supervisors and other tradespersons to coordinate concrete placement activities

Performing routine maintenance checks on pump equipment, including hoses, pipes and hydraulic systems

Maintaining detailed records of concrete volumes, delivery times and any incidents or equipment issues

Adhering to all site safety requirements, environmental regulations and company policies

Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and implementing corrective measures to minimise downtime

Assisting with the cleaning and decontamination of concrete pump equipment after use

What we're looking for

Current and valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence

Proven experience as a Concrete Pump Operator on commercial or residential construction projects

Solid understanding of concrete properties, slump testing and delivery specifications

Demonstrated knowledge of pump operation, maintenance and troubleshooting

Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Commitment to health and safety practices on construction sites

Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions

Experience with different concrete pump types, including boom pumps and line pumps and placing booms (preferred)
