Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Concrete Plant Manager to lead operations in the Perth South Metropolitan region. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee daily concrete operations, drive sales performance, manage costs, and ensure financial controls are in place to support profitable and safe plant operations.

The role emphasizes leadership, cost management, and customer engagement with a focus on safety and team development within a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Must have proven operations leadership experience.
• Experience with P&L and month-end reporting is advantageous.
• Strong budgeting and cost control capabilities.
• Ability to build and maintain customer relationships in the territory.
• Proven track record in leading and developing teams.

Responsibilities

• Efficient leadership of the operations in the area, including preparation of and managing costs within an agreed budget
• Develop relationships with customers in assigned territory through sales visits, phone and email contacts
• Review customer orders for the next day to ensure service levels, plant capability, capacity, materials and staffing
• Ensure compliance with Heidelberg Materials Australia's policies and procedures
• Oversee quotations, contracts, credits and billing
• Maintain assets in line with service intervals
• Demonstrate leadership in safety and prioritize health and safety
• Lead and develop the team and monitor performance

Job description

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic leader to join the team as a Concrete Plant Manager in our Perth South Metropolitan region. You will be joining a strong team culture where personal and professional growth is valued and your contributions towards our success recognised.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Concrete Plant Manager has a multi-faceted role responsible for the concrete operations overseeing the daily management, sales, operational and financial activities.

In your new role, you will:

• Efficient leadership of the operations in the area, including the preparation of and managing costs within an agreed budget
• Develop relationships with customers in assigned territory through sales visits, phone and e-mail contacts
• Review customer orders for the next day(s) to ensure service levels, plant capability, capacity, raw materials and staffing to achieve the orders and there is no overbooking of work
• Be conversant and always comply with the requirements of Heidelberg Materials Australia's policies and procedures
• Ensure all quotations, contracts, credits and billing is complete
• Ensure fixed and mobile assets are maintained in accordance with service intervals
• Demonstrate leadership in all of Heidelberg Materials Australia's safety requirements and lead with safety as your priority
• Lead and develop the team and manage Internal team performance
