Job summary

Challenger Security is seeking a Concierge Security Officer to join our Melbourne CBD team. This full-time, Monday-to-Friday role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining high security standards in a prestigious client site.

As the first point of contact for tenants, visitors and contractors, you will monitor access, respond to incidents, and support building management with day-to-day operations. A VIC Private Security Licence and First Aid/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Current VIC Private Security Licence required.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate required.
• Experience in security or concierge roles preferred.
• Professional presentation and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, welcoming service to tenants, visitors and contractors.
• Monitor CCTV, access control and building security to keep the environment safe.
• Manage building access, visitor enquiries and contractor access at front of house.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents and OHS-related matters.
• Support building management with day-to-day operational and security needs.
• Identify and escalate security, safety, and operational risks.
• Complete accurate incident reports and maintain documentation.

About the role

We are seeking a professional and people-focused Concierge Security Officer to join our team at a prestigious Melbourne CBD client site.

This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday opportunity suited to an experienced security professional who takes pride in delivering both exceptional customer service and high security standards.

As the first point of contact for tenants, visitors and contractors, you will play an important role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment. You will work closely with building management and the client to support day-to-day building operations and respond to security and operational matters as they arise.

Monday to Friday - 11:00am to 7:00pm

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day work will mainly involve:

• Providing a professional, welcoming and customer-focused service to tenants, visitors and contractors.
• Monitoring CCTV, access control systems and building security to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Managing building access, visitor enquiries, contractor access and other front-of-house security requirements.
• Responding promptly and professionally to emergencies, incidents and OHS-related matters.
• Supporting building management with day-to-day operational and security requirements.
• Identifying, managing and escalating security, safety and operational risks.
• Completing accurate incident reports, registers and other required documentation while maintaining a high standard of professional presentation.

About You

We're looking for a professional, reliable and customer-focused security officer with:

• Current VIC Private Security Licence
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Previous experience in security or concierge roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a confident and welcoming approach.
• Strong observation, situational awareness and attention to detail.
• A sound understanding of security risk management, incident response and emergency procedures.
• The ability to remain calm, professional and confident when dealing with challenging situations.
• Professional presentation, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Availability to work a Monday to Friday, 11:00am to 7:00pm roster.
