Job summary

Tronox is seeking an experienced Composite Technician to join our Maintenance team at Australind, WA. The role focuses on plastic welding and fibreglass fabrication, supporting the maintenance, service and repair of fixed plant and equipment across the TiO2 refinery.

You will fabricate FRP piping and vessels, work with PVC/PP/ABS, and contribute to daily, weekly and shutdown maintenance tasks in a safety‑driven, multi‑trade environment. Relocation within 45km is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering - Composites Trade or equivalent (highly regarded).
• Experience in plastic welding and fibreglass fabrication, maintenance and repairs.
• Experience in maintaining a complex fixed plant environment in accordance with strict engineering safety and compliance standards.
• The highest regard for safe work practices with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive, multi-trade maintenance team.
• Be willing to relocate to within 45km of our Australind Pigment Plant, 139 Old Coast Road (eligible for Domestic Relocation Assistance program).

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist expertise in plastic welding and fibreglass for maintenance, repair of fixed plant and equipment.
• Fabricate and install FRP piping and vessels per site standards.
• Work with various resin types and layup techniques.
• Involve daily, weekly and shutdown maintenance tasks.
