Job summary

Tronox is seeking an experienced Composite Technician for our Australind-based Maintenance team in WA. The role focuses on plastic welding, fibreglass fabrication and FRP piping repair across the TiO2 refinery.

The ideal candidate has a Certificate III in Engineering - Composites Trade and proven experience with plastic welding and fibreglass work, plus a strong commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement. A 9-day fortnight and relocation within 45 km are available.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering - Composites Trade or equivalent
• Experience in plastic welding and fibreglass fabrication, maintenance and repairs
• Ability to work safely in a complex fixed plant environment
• Willing to relocate within 45 km of Australind plant

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, modification and repair of FRP piping and vessels per site standards
• Measure, fabricate and install plastic process pipework (PVC, PP, ABS)
• Adhere to piping specifications and site construction procedures
• Participate in daily, weekly and shutdown maintenance tasks
