  • Write and maintain compliance policies and processes that align and remain up to date with regulatory and internal expectations.
  • Proactively identify trends and patterns indicating potential non‑compliance or risks to the business, and influence business stakeholders to take action to rectify and remediate.
  • Maintain HCAU’s Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems by monitoring and updating key compliance indicators (e.g., incidents, breaches, obligations, policies and procedures, regulatory communications, gift and entertainment disclosures and conflicts of interest).
  • Interpret and synthesize complex legislative and regulatory guidance into practical and simple advice.
  • Ideally least 3+ years’ experience in a compliance role within financial services.
  • Experience interpreting and providing guidance in relation to Australian Privacy laws.

  • Experience engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders to check and challenge business practices.
  • Experience using and administering Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to research, interpret, and apply legislation and regulatory guidance within the context of consumer lending.
  • Partner with business units and stakeholders to ensure successful action and remediation of compliance issues.
  • Knowledge of Australian laws governing consumer lending, preferably with advisory experience within consumer lending and Privacy laws.
