Job summary

IBAC in Melbourne is seeking a Compliance Officer to join the External Oversight team on a full-time ongoing basis. Reporting to the Managing Principal Officer, the role will help ensure IBAC meets its compliance obligations under relevant legislation, including reviews, data analysis and the production of compliance reports.

Qualifications

• Understanding IBAC's oversight functions under the relevant legislation.
• Knowledge or experience in compliance, auditing and/or inspection methods.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality work with precision and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist to conduct reviews or inspections of Victoria Police to determine compliance with legislation.
• Prepare correspondence, briefing notes and other documents for EOU functions.
• Draft and maintain policies, procedures and templates for IBAC oversight of legislative obligations.
• Provide oral and written information related to IBAC's oversight obligations.
