Job summary

Delta Facilities Management seeks an experienced Electrical and HVAC Compliance Officer to support consistent, safe and compliant practices across our operations in Australia. The role involves inspections, advisory input on standards and licensing, and coaching site teams to improve compliance outcomes.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Electrical Licence and relevant state occupational licences
• 10+ years’ experience in electrical industry
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in mining or heavy industry
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety legislation, Australian Standards and compliance frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to audit, investigate, report and provide practical technical guidance
• Strong coaching and stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Current C Class driver’s licence

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, audits and assessments of electrical and HVAC installations, equipment and systems
• Provide technical advice on legislation, standards, licensing and compliance requirements
• Coach nominees, managers and site teams to improve compliance outcomes
• Review certification, permits, registers, contractor documentation and statutory maintenance requirements
• Support investigations into electrical and refrigerant incidents, hazards and near misses
• Chair quarterly Electrical Subcommittee meetings and communicate key outcomes
• Prepare accurate compliance reports and support safety management plans and procedures

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and HVAC Compliance Officer to support consistent, safe and compliant practices across our operations.

THE POSITION

• Conduct inspections, audits and assessments of electrical and HVAC installations, equipment and systems
• Provide technical advice on legislation, Australian Standards, licensing and compliance requirements
• Coach electrical and HVAC nominees, managers and site teams to improve compliance outcomes
• Review certification, permits, registers, contractor documentation and statutory maintenance requirements
• Support investigations into electrical and refrigerant incidents, hazards and near misses
• Chair quarterly Electrical Subcommittee meetings and communicate key outcomes across the business
• Prepare accurate compliance reports and support the development of safety management plans, policies and procedures

THE PERSON

• Unrestricted Electrical Licence and relevant state occupational licences
• More than 10 years’ experience within the electrical industry, including large-scale operations or projects
• Minimum two years’ experience within mining or heavy industry
• Strong working knowledge of electrical safety legislation, Australian Standards and compliance frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to audit, investigate, report and provide practical technical guidance
• Strong coaching, stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Current C Class driver’s licence

A dual trade qualification, Electrical Nominee or QTP experience, and current high-risk work competencies will be highly regarded.
