Job summary

JS Careers Pty's client, a leading Australian-owned financial services firm, seeks a data-driven Assurance professional to strengthen controls across trading, markets and advisory activities.

You will design and execute the Compliance Assurance Program, build automated testing, develop dashboards with Power BI and Python, and partner with Technology to deliver real-time risk visibility while maintaining regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Data Science or related field.
• 6+ years’ experience in Audit, Compliance Testing or Assurance within financial services.
• Solid knowledge of market products and global regulatory environment.
• Hands-on data analytics with Python, SQL, Power BI and Databricks.
• Interest in applying AI to assurance and controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and execution of the Compliance Assurance Program using risk assessment across markets and advisory businesses.
• Build and run control effectiveness testing against regulatory obligations.
• Apply data analytics to automate controls testing and extend coverage.
• Build and maintain dashboards for ongoing monitoring of risk and control environment.
• Deliver Compliance Assurance Reports; present findings to stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory developments and identify emerging risks and control impacts.
• Foster relationships with Compliance, Risk and Internal Audit teams.
