Job summary

TasNetworks is seeking a Compliance Analyst to help strengthen our compliance framework across a highly regulated electricity transmission environment in Hobart, TAS. You will translate complex regulatory obligations into practical actions, provide risk-informed advice and reports to leadership, and support governance forums.

You'll work with business leaders and operations to embed compliant practices, monitor regulatory developments, and contribute to external submissions and regulatory

Qualifications

• Qualifications in compliance, risk management, governance, law, auditing, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of compliance management principles (ISO 37301, ISO 31000) and GRC practices.
• Experience implementing or enhancing GRC systems and governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills.

• Monitor regulatory developments and assess potential impacts, helping the organisation respond effectively to change.

About The Role

Base salary from $102,958 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience

As Compliance Analyst, you will help TasNetworks maintain a strong and effective compliance framework in an environment shaped by complex and evolving regulatory obligations. This role exists to ensure compliance requirements are understood, translated into practical business outcomes and embedded across the organisation. Through high-quality analysis, advice and reporting, you will support informed decision-making, strengthen governance practices and help the business meet its obligations to regulators, shareholders and the communities it serves.

Reporting across a broad range of compliance and governance activities, this role works closely with business leaders, operational teams and governance forums to provide insight on emerging regulatory issues and organisational compliance performance. You will contribute to the ongoing maturity of TasNetworks' compliance management and assist with external submissions and regulatory correspondence. This role offers the opportunity to influence how compliance is managed across the organisation.

About You

You’re interested in compliance or governance and can combine technical expertise with a practical understanding of how highly regulated organisations operate. Comfortable interpreting complex regulatory requirements, you can connect legislative obligations with real-world business outcomes and provide risk informed commercial advice. You may have experience in utilities or another regulated environment, and you've developed a solid grounding in compliance frameworks, governance practices and regulatory change.

You’re able to make complex information clear and actionable. Known for your sound judgement, attention to detail and collaborative approach, you build credibility and trust through thoughtful advice and well-considered recommendations. You enjoy improving processes, strengthening frameworks and working across different parts of an organisation to achieve consistent and sustainable compliance outcomes. You're recognised for delivering quality work and maintaining high professional standards.

You’ll Bring

• Relevant qualifications in compliance, risk management, governance, law, auditing, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of compliance management principles, for example ISO 37301, ISO 31000 or broader governance, risk and compliance (GRC) practices.
• Experience implementing, administering or enhancing GRC systems and supporting organisation-wide governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical actions.
