Job summary

Peabody in New South Wales is seeking a Complex Services Maintenance Planner to coordinate maintenance across diverse assets at the Wambo Complex. Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will develop plans, schedules and work packs to keep assets reliable and safe.

You will manage SAP maintenance notifications and orders, support shutdowns, and drive continuous improvement through data analysis and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Trade or technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling in mining, heavy industry or infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and asset reliability principles.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• A strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Job description

We are seeking a Complex Services Maintenance Planner to join our Complex Services team. Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in planning and coordinating maintenance activities across a diverse range of infrastructure and mobile assets that support the Wambo Complex.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and manage maintenance plans and schedules for Complex Services assets.
• Create work packs, job scopes and resource requirements for maintenance activities.
• Manage maintenance notifications and work orders within SAP.
• Support shutdowns, major maintenance projects and statutory compliance activities.
• Analyse asset performance data and identify reliability improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate contractors, service providers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs and maintain accurate asset and maintenance records.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability and asset performance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A trade qualification or technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within mining, heavy industry or infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and asset reliability principles.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• A strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Highly Regarded

• Experience with Caterpillar equipment and maintenance systems.
• Knowledge of water, power and communications infrastructure.
• Experience working in a mining environment.
• Exposure to asset lifecycle planning and maintenance budgeting.
