Job summary

Northcott is hiring casual Support Workers in Albury to deliver high-quality, person-centred care across supported accommodation and community services. You will help customers build skills, maintain independence, and access everyday activities with empathy and respect.

Applicants with at least 12 months in the disability sector and experience with complex care needs (including catheter and bowel care) are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months’ disability sector experience.
• Experience supporting customers with complex care needs, including catheter care and bowel care.
• Experience working in Supported Independent Living and providing personal care, including meal time management plans.
• Demonstrated experience in managing behaviours of concern, administering medication, and following medication management protocols.
• Sound knowledge and practical experience in manual handling, use of wheelchairs, and ensuring safe transport practices, including van safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, person‑centred support across supported accommodation and community services.
• Assist customers to build skills, maintain independence, and access daily activities and community resources.
• Support customers with daily tasks, personal care, meals, and transport safety.
• Build respectful, empathetic relationships and adapt care to individual needs.
