Job summary

Bolton Clarke Group is seeking a Personal Care Worker in the Yeppoon region to provide compassionate, person-centered support. You will assist with daily living activities, hygiene, mobility, and wellbeing under the care team, reporting changes and maintaining records in a not-for-profit, community-focused environment.

Eligibility includes a willingness to obtain required clearances; prior cleaning or care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• No qualifications required.
• Previous cleaning experience.
• Previous experience in providing personal care services to individuals with physical or mental disabilities, elderly or chronically ill patients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Focus on customers and residents using person-centered approach and show patience, empathy and listening.
• Attend to personal care needs requiring additional support due to frailty.
• Identify and report changes in circumstances to senior staff and monitor vitals and administer meds as prescribed.
• Provide manual handling assistance and support daily hygiene routines and use aids as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of care, logs, incidents and care plans.
• Offer emotional support, encourage participation in social activities and coordinate with families and the care team.
