Job summary

WA Country Health Service is seeking motivated Assistants in Nursing to join Geraldton Hospital's multidisciplinary team. Under supervision of a Nurse or Midwife, you will support delivery of safe, quality patient care and gain valuable experience in a supportive hospital environment.

The position offers permanent, Fixed Term or Casual arrangements with extension possibilities, and flexible work options. Evidence of NMBA-related enrolment or qualification is required as part of suitability

Qualifications

• Evidence of enrolment in NMBA approved programs: Diploma of Nursing – stages 1&2, OR an NMBA registration pathway – 50% completion, OR Certificate III in Health Services Assistance.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of safe, quality patient care under supervision of a Nurse or Midwife.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication and numeracy skills.
• Utilise digital platforms to access information and complete online learning requirements.
