Job summary

HomeCaring in Harrington, NSW, seeks a reliable female support worker to provide person-centred care to NDIS and Aged Care clients. You will build strong rapport and support independence, dignity and joy in daily living.

The role involves assisting with personal care, domestic tasks, transport using your own vehicle, attending appointments and documenting care activities to meet individual goals. Minimum Cert 3 and valid checks required; fluent English and Vietnamese advantageous.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in the NDIS and/or Aged Care sectors. Min 1 year experience and Cert 3 as a minimum requirement
• Excellent communication skills, commitment to a person-centred focus and flexibility to support needs based on individual circumstances
• Demonstrated experience providing compassionate, person-centred support to individuals living with dementia.
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese (spoken). Multiple languages but fluent in English
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with children Check
• Current First Aid certificate and current CPR certificate
• Current Drivers Licence & access to a reliable vehicle- full compressive insurance

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality and timely care support to the client as directed by Home Caring, and in accordance with his care plan
• Safely transport the client using your own Vehicle (own vehicle essential)
• Support client in getting out for social engagement, activities and in attending appointments
• Provide personal care and daily living (domestic) assistance
• Assistance with household tasks (may include cleaning, meal preparation)
• Document service activities that support service outcomes
• Support participant in achieving individual NDIS goals
• Maintain accurate documentation (including reporting) and shift notes
