Job summary

Benetas is seeking an experienced Laundry Assistant for our Clarinda on the Park home, home to 78 residents.

This part-time permanent role requires knowledge of laundry equipment, washing instructions, cleaning methods, and awareness of OH&S and infection control.

You will tailor services to residents, maintain high cleanliness standards and work well in a team within a not-for-profit, supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with older people is desirable.
• Demonstrated courteous and client-focused behaviour.
• Understanding of infection control and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of laundry equipment, washing instructions and cleaning methods.
• Demonstrate awareness of OH&S requirements relevant to the position.
• Tailor services to meet individual resident needs.
• Ensure efficient use of laundry materials and resources.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
