Job summary

Amana Living is seeking a part-time Kitchenhand to join the team at James Brown Care Centre in Osborne Park. You will help prepare meals, plate and serve residents, and keep the kitchen running smoothly to support a warm, home-like environment.

You’ll contribute to hygiene practices, assist with stock checks, and record daily temperatures. Commitment to all shifts is essential; commitments include pre-employment checks and the induction process.

Qualifications

• Evidence of ability to manage time and duties.
• Ability to work as part of a small kitchen team and independently.
• Commitment to high hygiene and safety standards.
• Willingness to participate in required pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate food, serve and clear meals with attention to schedule and quality.
• Maintain kitchen areas and serving spaces to hygiene standards.
• Engage with residents respectfully and support daily activities.
• Respect resident preferences and dietary requirements.
• Maintain good interpersonal relations with colleagues.
• Record temperatures and cleaning checks, and report changes.
• Update master printouts with dietary changes.
• Monitor stock levels and replenish supplies as needed.
• Assist with general shopping and stock management.
