Job summary

Amana Living in Western Australia is seeking a Kitchenhand to support meals and resident care at James Brown Care Centre, Osborne Park. This on-site, part-time role focuses on organisation, hygiene, and friendly resident interactions.

Shifts include Tue 15:30-18:30 and Fri 07:00-14:00 / 15:30-18:30; commitment to all shifts is expected. Induction at Rivervale Training Institute is provided, with vaccination and clearances required.

Qualifications

• Proven organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Willingness to attend 1 day paid induction at our Rivervale Training Institute.
• Evidence of Current Flu vaccination per Amana Living policies
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
• NDIS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate food, serve and clear away meals in line with food preparation schedules.
• Maintain the food preparation and serving areas to state hygiene standards.
• Maintain appropriate resident interactions in line with the organizational values.
• Consider resident lifestyles and personal choice.
• Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with others.
• Collect all temperature and cleaning records for the week and place in managers basket for checking and signing.
• Record any dietary changes on master print out.
• Check on stock requirements, e.g. bread, milk, OJ, yoghurt and change as necessary.
• As required replenish shopping supplies which are specific and not currently available from usual supplier.
