Healthscope’s The Victoria Clinic in Prahran, Melbourne, is seeking a trained cook to support high-quality patient meals in a state-of-the-art private psychiatric facility. You will handle meal preparation, kitchen hygiene, and stock management, while working within a supportive team that values development and work-life balance.

The role requires a Certificate III in Commercial Cooking (or equivalent), Food Safety qualifications, and the ability to work across a 7-day roster including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have Certificate III in Commercial Cooking or equivalent
• Certificate IV in management is desirable
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate required
• Certificate in Safe Food Handling required
• Good knowledge of HACCP regulations
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Willing to work across a 7-day roster (morning/afternoon) including weekends
• Experience in hospital or healthcare catering is preferred
• Passion for delivering high-quality meals and patient-focused service

Responsabilités

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen and equipment
• Prepare meals for patients per recipe guide
• Maintain stock for food supplies
• Record daily temperatures of fridges/freezers per food safety standards
• Implement Food Safety Program
• Understand dietary nutrition requirements
• Comply with accreditation standards and WH&S requirements
• Deliver excellent service to patients and staff
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Liaise with management about operations
