Healthscope's The Victoria Clinic in Prahran is seeking a trained cook to prepare meals for patients, uphold kitchen hygiene, and assist in daily operations across morning and afternoon shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cooking or equivalent; Certificate IV preferable.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and Safe Food Handling qualification.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Experience in HACCP or food safety standards.
• Able to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends.
• Strong culinary skills with patient-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene levels of food preparation area and kitchen equipment.
• Meal and food preparation for patients as per recipe guide.
• Maintain regular daily temperatures of refrigerators and freezers as per food safety standards.
• Implement Food Safety Program.
• Demonstrated understanding of accreditation standards, WHS management and function coordinating.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients and staff.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Liaise with management.
