Job summary

The Personal Care Worker attends to the personal care needs of customers, provides manual handling support, delivers activities to support physical and mental wellbeing, and reports changes to the care team and families to advocate for residents’

Qualifications

• No qualifications required.
• Previous cleaning experience.
• Experience in providing personal care services to individuals with physical or mental disabilities, elderly or chronically ill patients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attends to the personal care needs of customers, with focus on those needing additional support due to frailty.
• Provides manual handling assistance and supports daily hygiene routines (showers, shaving, nail care).
• Identifies and reports changes in customers’ conditions to senior staff and records vital signs and medications as prescribed.
