Job summary

MiCare is a not-for-profit organisation delivering aged care, home care and migrant support services across communities in Australia. The Personal Care Assistant role supports clients to remain independent at home, delivering personal care, domestic tasks, shopping and transport in line with individual care plans.

We seek compassionate team players with current First Aid/CPR, a valid driver’s licence, and a willingness to undertake police checks.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support / Aged Care (PCA) required.
• Willingness to undertake a police check.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Valid driver’s licence with comprehensive insurance and roadworthy vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with general household tasks and personal care as required.
• Provide shopping assistance and transport as needed.
• Engage with clients, families and coordinators about care plans and progress.
• Document care notes and report any changes promptly to MiCare.
• Travel to clients’ homes and community settings as required.
