Job summary

The City of Geelong is seeking a Casual Community Care Worker to assist Home Care Clients with practical in‑home support, personal care, meal prep and medication prompting. You must be available across Geelong, with day, evening, or weekend shifts.

Required qualifications include Certificate III/IV in a relevant field, HLTHPS006, First Aid Level 2 with CPR, and a valid driver’s license. Police check and medical clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience providing personal care and domestic assistance to ageing or disabled clients.
• Certifications in aged care/health support (e.g., Cert III/IV) or equivalent.
• HLTHPS006 medication assistance is required for evenings/weekends.
• Current First Aid Level 2 with CPR is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Working with Children’s Check (Employee) is required.
• National Police Check may be required in recruitment.
• Availability for 3 weekdays or more is needed.

Responsibilities

• Weekday shifts: perform general housework and cleaning; support social and emotional well‑being; monitor health and report concerns.
• Evening/weekend shifts: assist with personal care, meal preparation, and social engagement; monitor health and report concerns.
