Job summary

Brighter Access in Newcastle is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers for permanent part-time and casual roles in Charlestown and Newcastle. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care to participants with a range of support needs and help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities include personal care, domestic assistance, meal planning, behaviour support, and contributing to a safe, empowering home environment.

Qualifications

• NDIS worker screening clearance (or willingness to apply).
• Working with Children Clearance (or willingness to apply).
• Current First Aid.
• Driver's Licence with a reliable insured and registered vehicle.
• Targeted training and professional development provided.
• Salary packaging available as we are a not-for-profit NDIS provider.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks (showering, hoisting, toileting, continence aids).
• Provide behaviour support aligned with individual plans.
• Help with meal planning and preparation to meet dietary requirements.
• Assist with domestic duties to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Support participants in achieving goals and promoting independence.
• Create a positive, safe and empowering home environment.
