Job summary

Life Without Barriers in Alice Springs is seeking a Disability Support Worker on a permanent part-time basis. You will support people with disability to live independently, participate in community activities, and follow individual behaviour support plans.

The role requires working within a 24/7 roster, including nights and weekends. A current First Aid certificate, CPR and Australian Driver Licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience providing personal care.
• Experience supporting people with complex health needs.
• Experience supporting people with behaviours of concern and following behaviour support plans.
• Australian Driver Licence essential.
• Current Provide First Aid Certificate and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Provide active, person-centred support tailored to individual needs and goals.
• Follow and implement behaviour support plans.
• Support people to participate in enjoyable activities, community life and cultural activities.
• Provide personal care and support with daily living.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and other support professionals to provide high-quality support.
